History
editNa dem establish de varsity under University Act No 7 of 2005, wey e cam into being after de signing of Ardhi University Charter by de Presido of United Republic of Tanzania, Jakaya Kikwete for 28 March 2007. De roots of Ardhi University fi be trace back to pre-independence days wen Surveying Training School wey dey offer technician certificate courses insyd land surveying wey na dem establish am insyd Dar es Salaam.
Insyd 1974, na dem change de name to Ardhi Institute den ein range of courses expand make e include building design den building economics. For de early 1980s insyd, na dem introduce de public health engineering course (later dem rename am ‘environmental engineering’).
