Chuka University be public institution dem establish thru legal notice No. 161 of 2007. Na ebe constituent College of Egerton University den de successor of de former Egerton University Eastern Campus College, Chuka. Na dem establish Campus College for 27 September 2004, by Egerton University Council.

Presido Mwai Kibaki appoint de first Council of de varsity for 12 September 2008. Na dem appoint Businessman Wilfred Murungi de first Chairmo of Chuka University Council. Dem initially establish de University College as Campus of Chuka University insyd September 2015.[3]

Na Chuka University be de first institution of higher learning make dem establish insyd Eastern Province.
