East Akim Municipal District
East Akim Municipal District be sam former district wey na edey de Eastern Region for Ghana insyd. Dem originally create am as sam ordinary district assembly for 1988 insyd as na ebe East Akim District, wey dem create am from de former East Akim District Council. Later, dem split off de northwest part of de district wey dem create de Atiwa District for 17 February 2004 insyd; dat be say dem retain de remaining part as East Akim District.[1] Wey dem elevate am go municipal district assembly status for 29 February 2008 insyd wey ecam turn East Akim Municipal District. However, for 1 June 2018 insyd, dem split am off go two new municipal districts insyd: Abuakwa South Municipal District (capital: Kibi) den Abuakwa North Municipal District (capital: Kukurantumi). Na de municipality dey Eastern Region ein central part wey Kibi be ein capital town.
