Na ebe originally part of de den-larger Fanteakwa District for 1988 insyd, wey dem create from de former East Akim District Council, till dem split off de southern part of de district wey dem create Fanteakwa South District for 15 March 2018 insyd; dat be say dem rename de remaining as Fanteakwa North District. De district assembly dey de central part of Eastern Region wey Osino be ein capital town.[1]
