Ebe one of de premier technological universities wey dey western Africa.[10] Ein student body dey comprise of menners wey dey cam from all ova west Africa den beyond. Ebe de only federal university of technology wey dey de south-east of Nigeria, den one of de oldest wey dey West Africa.[11]

FUTO be partner university plus Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB).[12] JUPEB dey offer A/Level Programs give Students wey dey seekadmission go de Federal University of Technology, Owerri via Direct Entry(DE). FUTO currently dey admit students go de JUPEB Program Yearly insyd.[13] For 13 April 2021 insyd, dem elect Prof. Nnenna Oti as Vice-Chancellor make e replace Francis Chukwuemeka Eze wey ein tenure expire for 19 June 2021 insyd.
