Na dem born Hannah Hasiciimbwe insyd Lusaka, Zambia. As an infant, she den ein parents move go England, wey dem return to Zambia wen na she dey two years old. She cam make interested insyd art for a young age, wey she begin painting as a teenager. She return to de U.K. make she pursue a bachelor's degree insyd computer studies.[1]

Insyd 2019, Uzor begin formal art studies for Kensington and Chelsea College.[2] She earn ein master's degree for de Slade School of Fine Art. She win de school ein inaugural Milein Cosman Scholarship for Drawing insyd 2021.[1]

Career

Uzor be inspired by history, particularly Black diasporic history den figures.[1][3] She dey work primarily plus acrylics. Na she cite Cézanne, Gauguin, Toulouse Lautrec, Kerry James Marshall, Yinka Shonibare, den Barbara Walker as influences.[1]

Prior to she dey work as an artist, Uzor work insyd business development den digital marketing. She be inspired make she work as a painter dey follow ein mommie ein death insyd 2016.[1]

Insyd October 2020, Uzor ein portrait of Sara Forbes Bonetta, a West African princess den a goddaughter of Queen Victoria, na ebe exhibited by English Heritage for Osborne House for de Isle of Wight in honor of Black History Month.[3][4][5] De portrait dey base for de photo of Bonetta insyd ein wedding dress.[4]

Insyd May 2024, na dem commission Uzor by Tatler make she paint a portrait of Catherine, Princess of Wales give de cover of dema July 2024 issue. Na Uzor no be able make she have Catherine tap give de portrait, wey instead she use images available online as reference material. She plete de project insyd three weeks. Wen dem release de images of de portrait insyd May, some media outlets den social media users criticize den piece give no look like Catherine.[1][6]
