Hawassa University (HU) (Amharic: ሀዋሳ ዩኒቨርሲቲ) be residential national university insyd Hawassa, Sidama Region, Ethiopia. E dey approximately 278 kilometres (173 mi) south of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. History
editNa de origin of Hawassa University be de establishment of Debub University ("South" University) for 22 December 1998 via government proclamation.[1] Na Debub University originally consist of Awassa College of Agriculture, Wondo Genet College of Forestry, den Dila Teachers' Education and Health Science College.
Dem rename Debub University as Hawassa University for 17 February 2006.[2]
Na dem reestablish Hawassa University for 23 May 2011 insyd de heart of Hawaasa City insyd Sidama Regional state.[3]
