De main objective of IST-AC be make e educate engineers. IST-AC dey offer hands-on training, plus both theoretical knowledge den practical experience, wey dey get students ready for employment. Dem address de school be open to all countries insyd Central Africa, wey dey include Angola, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, CAR, DRC, Chad.[2]

Open since 2002, de campus insyd Pointe Noire, Republic of Congo, dey emphasize de first two-year of engineering training, plus program focus for Industrial Maintenance top. De campus sanso dey offer sandwich course (cooperative technician training) direct towards de job market, den training for working professionals.

Across de varsity, 60% of students dey study engineering, 20% industrial management den 20% in communication den management.

As of 2011, about one hundred engineers graduate (promotions 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011); 150 training contracts, plus nearly one hundred companies dey in effect; den IST-AC host total 240 students (20% female), across five nationalities.
