He join de New Patriotic Party den Presido Kufour ein govament take de Sunyani District Assembly give say he for be de as de District Chief Executive.[4][5] Later dem change am wey he cam turn deputy regional minister for den Brong-Ahafo region den subsequently he cam turn de regional minister for de same Kuffour ein administration. He san ran for Member of Parliament for de Sunyani West constituency wey he win for de 2008 parliamentary elections. Ein party, de NPP however lost de presidential election. Dem san vote for am as de MP for de same constituency for 2012 den 2016 insyd. As we dey talk, he still be MP for de same constituency, Sunyani West constituency. One tym self, he serve de deputy minority chief whip from 2013 to 2017.

Prof. Mike Ocquaye.[6] As he dey serve as de Cabinet minister, Baffour-Awuah be part paddies wey dey de presido ein inner circle wey he aid am take key decisions for de country insyd.[6] Afta de 2020 general elections, de president keep him as de Minister for Employment den Labor Relations as of rydee. February, 2023 de president take additional responsibility give say go he go job plus ein position as de Pensions Minister.[7]
