De Kumasi Zoo (Kumasi Zoological Garden) be zoo wey dey locate insyd de heart of Kumasi insyd de Ashanti Region of Ghana. De zoo dey occupy a 1.5-square-kilometre (370-acre) area between de Kejetia Bus Terminal, de old race course den de Kumasi Centre for National Culture.^[1]

History

Dem establish de zoo insyd 1951 den officially dem open am insyd 1957 by de den Asanteman Council say dem go conserve nature den display indigenous wild animals of Ghana.^[2]

Animal species

A Chimpanzee insyd an enclosure at de Kumasi Zoo.

Egey about 40 different species of animals, plus individual animals wey edey number over 135. A notable feature be de thousands of bats wey dey rest for trees top insyd de zoo.^[3]
