Dem born Biney for Accra, Ghana. At age five, she relocate go United States wey she go live plus ein poppie. Biney start dey skate as she dey six years old for Northern Virginia. She start figure skating buh she switch go speed skating secof ein coach recommendation.

Career

Biney win de bronze medal insyd de 500-meters at de 2017 World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships.[1] She make ein senior team debut later dat year wey she win de America's Cup at de U.S Speedskating Short Track World Cup Qualifier.[2] For December 16, 2017, Biney qualify for de 2018 Olympics by winning de 500-meters at de U.S. Olympic Trials,[3] wey she cam turn de second African-born athlete make she represent de U.S. at de Winter Olympics, after Madagascar-born biathlete Dan Westover insyd 1998.[3]

Insyd de 2018 Olympics, na Biney no make am past ein qualifying heat insyd de 1500-meters wey dem oust am from de 500-meter race insyd de quarterfinals.[4]

She cam back from de 2018 Olympics, Biney do well at de 2018 World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships, wey she win gold insyd de 500-meters, bronze insyd de 1000-meters, den bronze overall.

Biney qualify for de 2022 Winter Olympics at de 2022 US Olympic Team Trials - Short Track Speedskating.[5]
