Mali, officially de Republic of Mali, be landlocked country insyd West Africa. editRegions den cercles
editSince 2016, na dem divide Mali into ten regions den de District of Bamako.[5] Each region get a governor.[6] De implementation of de two newest regions, Taoudénit (formerly part of Tombouctou Region) den Ménaka (formerly Ménaka Cercle insyd Gao Region), na e dey go on since January 2016;[7][8] na dem appoint a governor den transitional council give both regions.[9]
Since 2023, Mali add nine new regions to ein administrative structure, wey dey bring de total to 19 regions plus de district of Bamako. Dis reorganization dey aim make e improve governance den bring public services closer to local populations. Dis initiative dey continue de decentralization efforts wey begin plus de creation of de Taoudénit den Ménaka regions insyd 2016. Dem subdivide de nineteen regions into 159 cercles den 815 communes.[10][11]
