editKoranteng start as dressmaker for 1944 insyd while she dey keep sam store selling wax print. She remain for Achiase insyd till 1960 wen dem elect am cam parliament for 1960 insyd.[1] Asyd dressmaking, na Koranteng san dey timber business insyd, she prepare timber concessions give timber merchants. For 1960 insyd, na Koranteng dey among de first women wey enter de Parliament of Ghana under de representation of de people (women members) act. Na she dey among de 10 women wey dem elect as unopposed for 27 June 1960 insyd for Convention People's Party demma ticket top.[3][4] Na she be de Second Member give Eastern Region.[3][4] For 1965 insyd, dem made am member of parliament give Swedru-Achease till 1966 wen dem overthrow de Nkrumah government.[5]

editShortly afta ein graduation from school she marry Mr. Asafu-Adjei till 1943 wey he die. She san marry Kwame Nkrumah for 1951 insyd,[6] wey na he be de first president of Ghana, wey dem get kiddie (daughter) togeda.[1][7][8] For 1955 insyd, dem dissolve de marriage. She later get four oda kiddies from oda associations den marriages.[1]
