History

Insyd October 1990, dem merge Maseno Government Training Institute plus Siriba Teacher’s Training College make dem form Maseno University College as constituent college of Moi University. E cam turn full fledged university 11 years later insyd 2001. Ebe accredited varsity, wey Act of Parliament enact insyd 1991.

For de December 2008 graduation ceremony, de presido Mwai Kibaki, appoint Professor Frida Karani, as de second chancellor, after de expiry of de tenure of William Wamalwa. Dem honour de fresh chancellor by Maseno University, wey he receive de Doctor of Education honoris causa before presiding ova de ninth graduation ceremony for 17 December 2009.

Na dem appoint de vice-chancellor for 18 February 2011, wey dey succeed Professor Frederick N. Onyango.[21][22][23][24] De Chancellor be Dr. Michael Joseph den de Chair of Council be Professor Rosalind Mutua. De current vice-chancellor be Professor Julius Omondi Nyabundi.

Kisumu Hotel

Dem acquire de Kisumu Hotel by de varsity insyd 2004 under de then Vice-chancellor, Prof. Fredrick Onyango. De bed space double from de original 40 to 80 rooms. De hotel enable de varsity make dem offer training insyd eco-tourism, den hotel den institution management.

De eCampus of Maseno University evolve from wat na initially dem set up insyd 2007 by de then Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Frederick N. Onyango, as eLearning Centre. De eLearning Centre dey situate for Maseno University ein City Campus (now Kisumu Campus) wey dey provide capacity building den technical support services to lecturers make dem prepare dem make dem offer open, distance den eLearning courses to off-campus students (anaa 'distance education' students as na dem know dem then).
