Career

Before she leave for de United States to pursue ein graduate studies, Gakunga lecture at de University of Nairobi. She use tin cans, textured sheet metal den steel wire to create wall-hanging sculptures. She has exhibited ein works insyd de US, de UK, France, Brazil, Poland den Kenya. Some of de shows she has exhibited at include; de 2017 solo exhibitions at de October Gallery insyd London, Bihl Haus Arts insyd San Antonio, Frieze New York, de Art Paris Art Fair, den de Cape Town Art Fair. Ein sculpture Mũgogo – The Crossing was exhibited at de Royal Academy of Arts insyd London.
