De varsity, wich start academic activities insyd de 2001/2002 session, get ein pioneer set of graduating students insyd de 2004/2005 academic year. Although, na de student population be 1,039 per at inception, dis increase go 4,636 insyd 2003/2004 den later 10,294 insyd 2006/2007.[13] De varsity dey maintain de quota provide by de National Universities Commission (NUC). Der be significant increase for de number of academic den non-teaching staff insyd.
