Na dem form am for 1 January 2005, by merger of de University of the North den de Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA).[1] Dese previous institutions form de Turfloop den MEDUNSA campuses of de varsity, respectively. Insyd 2015 de MEDUNSA campus split wey e cam turn de Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University.[2]
