editNa de establishment of de university be result of de bill wey Olusegun Mimiko, de executive governor of Ondo State sign go law insyd for 2014, so say dem go establish sam state university of medical sciences. Ondo State House of Assembly propose bill under Schedule 1, Section 5(2), den Article 39(1) of Ondo State Laws. De university appoint ein first substantive Chancellor, Professor Friday Okonofua, for March 11, 2015, following de approval of de university by de National University Commission, NUC.[5] De current Vice-chancellor of de university be Professor Adesegun Fatusi.[6]
