editHon. Dery be legal practitioner wey school for de University of Ghana insyd 1977 after he plet Navrongo Secondary School. He graduate plus Bachelor of Law (LL. B) wey dem bell am go de Bar for 1982 insyd.[6]

Political career
editBefore he go go parliament, 2008 insyd, dem appoint Hon. Dery as Deputy Attorney General in 2003 insyd. He san so serve two ministerial positions as de Regional Minister for de Upper West Region from 2004 go 2006 plus Minister of State for de Ministry of Justice insyd from 2005 to 2007.[8][9]
Hon. Dery serve as de Deputy Minority Leader for de fifth parliament of Ghana.[8] Hon. Dery chop de Nandom parliamentary seat, plus de Lawra-Nandom Constituency for 2008 insyd but he lose de seat give Benjamin Kumbuor for de 2012 elections insyd.[9] Hon. Dery serve as de Chairman for Water Aid Partner Round Table, association of local NGOs wey, Water Aid fund am for ten years (1993-2003).[6] For de list wey dem take go parliament for approval for 21 January 2021, de presido nominate Hon. Dery so say he go maintain ein ministerial position as de Interior minister.[10]
