Na dem establish EMIG insys 1982 as international institution from de Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) (fr. Communauté Économique des États de l'Afrique de l'Ouest). Dem enroll de first students insyd January 1990. Insyd July 1995 na EMIG retro-cede to de Nigerien government. However EMIG still dey attract students from oda African countries.
