Myriam Mihindou grow up insyd Gabon plus a French mommie den a Gabonese poppie, before she go into exile insyd France insyd de late 1980s. After a degree insyd architecture, she join de school of fine arts insyd Bordeaux. She dey suffer from aphasia, a disorder of spoken den written language, na she be at de time dey look for a means of expression. Na she work initially for sculpture den forging, Joseph Beuys den Ana Mendieta encourage am make she direct ein plastic exploration insyd nature thru ritualized actions plus organic materials (earth, water, sun, paraffin, kaolin den tea). Na she graduate insyd 1993, wey she develop a multidisciplinary plastic language, dey work as well insyd photography as for performance, video, drawing den sculpture insyd. Ein experience of she dey travel chaw countries dey include from Gabon to Reunion Island, from Egypt to Morocco, na ein works be nourished by dese geographical den cultural encounters. Highly autobiographical, ein creative processes dey probe memory, identity, de social, political den sexual body themes.[1][2][3]
