Sam Joseph Ntiro get ein tertiary education at Makerere College of de University of East Africa, wey na then ebe affiliated to de University of London, wer he study Art den Education. He do postgraduate work for de Slade College of Fine Art, University of London.

He do research insyd de United States of America, insyd de 1970s at Dillard & Xavier Universities insyd New Orleans, Louisiana den insyd de 1980s at de University of Wisconsin at Madison insyd both areas of Fine Art den African Studies. He sanso serve as an external examiner for Fine Art, Art History den sometimes History, Geography insyd Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, de United Kingdom, de US, Canada, Ghana den Nigeria.
