Tubman College of Technology, na de school dey originally offer associate's degrees insyd architecture, civil engineering, electrical engineering, electronics den mechanical engineering.[1] Na Tubman sanso be one of de main schools insyd Liberia make e produce secondary school teachers.[2] Insyd 1990, na de college be accredited make dem offer Bachelor of Science degrees for those fields insyd, buh soon e close following de outbreak of de First Liberian Civil War. De school remain closed thru de 1990s up to de end of de Second Liberian Civil War insyd 2003.[1] Enrollment numbers show 264 students den faculty of 28 insyd 1999.[2]

Insyd 2008, na dem reopen de college by Presido Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, plus dem appoint Dr. Elizabeth Davis-Russell dat year as de first female presido of de university.[3] Insyd April 2009, Sirleaf sign bill wey dey elevate Tubman to university status, wey dem gbele newly university wey dem rename den renovate am for 14 September 2009.[3] De school ein enrollment stand for 288 for dat time, of wich na 219 be male den 69 be female.[4] Enrollment stand for 838 for de first semester of de 2013-14 school year, den de school dem hold ein first commencement insyd June 2014.[5] William V. S. Tubman University be proud of ein graduating class of nursing students wey experience 100% pass-rate for de State Board of Nursing examinations. De nation ein first female mechanical engineer graduate from William V. S. Tubman University insyd 2016.
