Asunafo North Municipal District
Asunafo North Municipal be one of de six districts for Ahafo Region wey dey Ghana.[1] Originally na ebe part of de formerly den bollar Asunafo District for 1988, until de southern part for de district wey dem split am by decree of former president John Agyekum Kufuor for 12 November 2003 (effectively 17 February 2004) go create Asunafo North District, wey later dem elevate am go municipal district assembly status for 29 February 2008 wey e cam turn Asunafo North Municipal. De municipal assembly dey for de western part for de Ahafo Region wey Goaso be ein capital town.[2]

History
editAsunafo North Municipal be one of de 260 Metropolitan, Municipal den District Assemblies (MMDAs) for Ghana insyd, den edey part for de 6 Municipalities den Districts for de Ahafo Region. Ebe one of de first Districts wey dem create for de den Brong-Ahafo Region wey dey date back as far as 1912.
Asunafo North Municipal District dey between latitudes 6°27°N den 7.00°N den longitudes 2°52°W den wey eshare common boundaries plus Asutifi South District for ein north east, Dormaa Central Municipal for ein north west den Juaboso District den Sefwi-Wiaso Municipal for Western North Region for ein west-south borders, den Asunafo South Municipal insyd de Ahafo Region for de south-eastern borders.
De total land size for de Municipality be 1093.7 km2 plus 389.7 km2 wey edey covered by forest reserves. De population for de Municipality according to 2010 population den housing census wey edey stand at 124,685 plus 62,854 males den 61,831 females.[1]
