Dem do referendum for 27 December 2018[8] wey result about 450,812 cast dema votes wey dey rep 85.82 per cent of 525,275 voters wey register. 448,545 (99.50 per cent); wey dem vote in favour give creation for fresh region plus 1,384 (0.31 per cent) wey vote against. Total of 883 (0.20 per cent) ballots wey dem reject.[9][10][11]
